'Brahman Janati Iti Brahman: - The Brahman who knows Brahman.' The one who has attained Brahman Gyan is called Brahman. The attainment of this theology reveals in them radiance, divinity and warmth. Even sages and sages who meditate, contemplate, chant, perform sadhana-worship have different titles like Rajarshi, Brahmarshi and Devarshi due to their Sattva-Raj-Tam Gunapradhan rights. Vishwamitra Muni could not become Brahmarshi from Rajarshi for a long time despite pleasing Brahmaji by doing hard penance. It was only when those who renounced their anger, hatred and pride and became forgiving, generous-hearted that Vashishta Muni addressed them as 'Brahmarshi'.
In the 7th verse of the seventeenth chapter of the eleventh wing of Srimad Bhagavatam, Lord Krishna says to Uddhavji: Krichchaya tapase cheh pretyanantasukhaya ch. This body of a Brahmin is not for the fulfillment of trivial desires but for the attainment of supreme bliss after death by performing hard penance. Describing the qualities of this Brahmin, Lord Krishna shows Uddhavji. Shamo Damastap: Shauchan Satisfaction: Gyantirarajvam. Bhaktishch daya satya brahmaprakrutya stivama. Sham, dum, tapa, purity, peace, tenderness, devotion to God, kindness and truth are the nature of a Brahmin.
It is mentioned in the 8th chapter of Dasham Skandha in Srimad Bhagavatam that Balakrishna told his father Nandbava to stop Indrayag. Ayyan gobrahmanadrina mahayam cha dayito makh: - These cows, Brahmins and Giriraj Parvat Yajna are dear to me. ' The Lord Himself was the Gobrahmana Pratipala. Just as God loves his devotees, so do Brahmanical Brahmins. From the point of view of our scriptures, Vedagnani (scholar) Sadachari, Gnani, Tapasvi, Brahman, Acharya, Gayo, Devo, Agni and Tirtha are all always worthy of worship and respect.
Brahmarshi Vashishta was a Tapomurti, a sattvic meritorious, compassionate and forgiving sage. Maharshi Vashishta originated with Agastya in the Yajna of Mitravaruna.
At the behest of Lord Brahmaji, he also accepted the priesthood of the Sun dynasty. He was fortunate enough to be the Vice-Chancellor of Limit Purushottam Lord Shriramchandraji. It was Brahmarshi Vashishta Muni who imparted to Lord Shriram the profound philosophy of God, jiva, world and knowledge of the deep secrets of yoga. It is available to us today in the form of Yogavashishta Maharamayana.
Maharshi Vashishta protected the Raghu dynasty from the wrath of Parashuram. He increased the wealth of the Chakravarti kings of the Raghuvansh dynasty with his tapobal, became the chief priest of many of his yagnas, enhanced his success and established the fame of his Raghukul, Yavarchandra Divakarau to Digdigantar. When Vishwamitra Muni killed his sons out of hatred, he did not take revenge on them. He was not angry with her. Vishwamitra, blinded by anger, jealousy and pride, was standing outside his hut with a weapon in his hand to kill Vashishta Muni when Vashishta Muni was holding his wife Ahundhati in the moonlight at night.
'Blessed is Vishwamitra who is all sleeping in this silent moonlight. They are doing penance then. ' Vishwamitra's heart was changed when he heard Vashishta Muni praising him in his absence, despite all the enmity and the blessed crime of raising his sons. And leaving the intention of killing him, he fell at his feet and began to beg.
It was at this time that Maharshi Vashishta conferred the title of 'Brahmarshi' on Rajarshi Vishwamitra. Maharshi Vashishta's son Shakti, Shakti's son Parashar and Parashar's son Maharshi Vedavyas were born. After Lord Shriram made him green and returned to his Saket Dham, Brahmarshi Vashishta sat in the Saptarshi Mandal with his wife Arundhatiji.
