Orchha is an ancient town in Madhya Pradesh. In addition to its fort, Orchha, near the world-famous Khajuraho temple, has many spectacular architectures. It has a special Chatrabhuj temple. Built in the 17th century during the Bundel Rajput era, this temple is located on an island in the river.
- The Chatrabhuj temple has four conical peaks on a 12 feet high platform. The huge entrance and the highest peak in between are magnificent.
- At first glance the temple looks like a multi-storey palace. The walls of the temple have colorful murals in addition to geometric shaped designs.
- Apart from the fort in Orchha, the fort of Jhansi and the wildlife park are also worth visiting. Umbrellas built on the banks of the Betwa River are a specialty of Orchha.
