- Scientists of the world
There are many gases in the atmosphere around the earth. In ancient times man knew the atmosphere only as air. Worshiped him as a deity like fire. Scientists have analyzed air and discovered that it is made up of different types of gases. Ammonia gas is useful in agriculture in the discovery of gases like oxygen, hydrogen, etc. It was discovered by a scientist named Fritz Heber. Fritz Haber is said to be the father of chemistry. In 1913 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his discovery of ammonia.
Heber was born on December 9, 1917 in Bracelau, Germany. The city is currently in Poland, his father was a leading businessman, Heber studied chemistry at Heidelbuzz University. Heber discovered toxic gases and used them as chemical weapons. Embarrassed by his violent discovery, his wife and son committed suicide. He then joined the scientist's chemical factory. From 18 to 1911, he conducted various experiments and discovered ammonia gas. This was a revolutionary invention. This method was named 'Haber Process'.
Heber played a key role in the use of chemical weapons during World War I. He also invented the gas mask to avoid toxic gases. His destructive discoveries have earned him worldwide acclaim and criticism. But the German army gave him many honors. In the later years of his life he moved to England. He died on January 6, 2013.
