- 'After working in TV for more than two decades, I was completely burned out and wanted to do films, but it wasn't easy. I was at the peak of my career, but I didn't really know who to contact and how to go in that direction and after that I started dreaming.
Shweta Kavatra became very popular after playing the role of Vamp in 'Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki' and 'Kusum' serials, but has not been seen on TV for the last few years. The actress gave two decades of her life to this showbiz and now she thanks her husband Manav Gohil for giving her the opportunity to stay at home and enjoy motherhood.
Shweta says, 'I started my career as a model and then turned to TV. I have spent more than 20 years doing various TV shows, including all kinds of shows, including crime, social, health, comedy or anchoring shows. Now I feel like there is nothing left for me to do. I still get offers, which have no motivation to accept and go to work. I will always be an actress at heart, but in the last few years I have developed an interest in psychology and now I want to complete my masters in it. '
Thank you to my human husband, who has allowed me to enjoy leisure time and enjoy quality time with home and family. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. I have lived my life on my own terms forever and still continue to do so. Shweta was spotted in 'Balveer' about six years ago. Shweta says, 'I can't spend much time watching TV as motherhood is a full time responsibility. My daughter keeps me busy. Over the years I have been convinced that the medium is about to evolve.
These days I have started playing the role of a vamp again, but it has not made any difference despite the passage of so much time. It has no freshness. However, I also want the medium of TV to be unchanged and not to look like a movie because the viewers of the two are very different. Each medium has its own power, 'said Shweta.
Shweta says, 'How can an artist not do the same work all his life.' At the same time adds, 'I think I need to explore other things in life besides acting. I have a part as an actress, but I don't have that part as a whole. I enjoy reading, traveling and studying various things while sitting at home. I have also accepted some offers of acting. '
Shweta admits that going to the movies is not easy for TV actors. Shweta says, 'After working in TV for more than two decades, I was completely burnt out and wanted to do films, but it was not easy. I was at the peak of my career, but I didn't really know who to contact and how to go in that direction and after that I started dreaming. I lost my mental stability and patience because I did not know how to approach the right people in this direction and I had no idea.
Even filmmakers are not open-minded to TV actors as they (TV actors) are available in everyone's drawing room and their overexposure destroys all their chances of going into film. So I dropped the idea, but the web-shows have frozen the ice and I have done a short film and there are some other interesting projects coming up, 'said Shweta Kwatra.
