Jungle animals are known to be predators. Every living thing adopts a variety of methods in search of food. Plants get their food from the soil by roots but it would be surprising to know that some plants prey on mosquito-like creatures. Of course the plant cannot run after the prey but the prey has techniques to follow it automatically. There are about 200 species of beautiful flowers in the world. Everyone has a different way of hunting.
The pitcher plant has conch-shaped leaves. There is a sticky substance on the door of the hollow leaf like round horns. Mosquito-like creatures come close to the fly, so it sticks to the bottom.
Sandu is a Venus fly trap, a leafy plant. The insect sits on the leaf and immediately turns around and grabs it.
The leaves of butter butter are as sticky as butter. Ants like Makoda cannot escape after getting stuck in it. Even the flowers of the Monkey Flower become insects and soon disappear.
Many plants kill nearby trees or shrubs and take their food. The roots of such plants spread to the soil and spread the disease to the roots of other plants, killing it and taking away its food.
Insects trapped in plant traps are digested and become food.
