- Yogiji Maharaj introduced Pramukhswami Maharaj in his lifetime and said,
- Pujya Shastriji Maharaj B.A.P.S. in 1907. In 1911, about four years after the establishment of the institution, Shastriji Maharaj's congregation was merged.
Contribution of Shastriji Maharaj
Yajnapurushdasji himself was a principled man. That is why he became the principle bearer of Sriji. He went through great struggles and intense austerities, but succeeded in his duty completely. His commitment to it was also unmatched. Look at his exclamations: 'I am Aksharpurushottam's bull...' 'It is less for Aksharpurushottam to sell house and house.'
What did Swamishri give? His determination not to compromise on the eternal doctrine of Lord Swaminarayan made the Sampradaya famous as the path to salvation from the 'Bandiyar Wada' to the square of the world. Worship-temples offered to the bosom of culture. The 'Bochasanvasi Sri Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha' founded by him today, has expanded from the square of Charotar to the square of the world and is spreading the light of eternal knowledge of Indian culture. Perhaps his greatest tribute is in these words of Gujarat's literate Dolatram: 'Swamiji, this is the work that Shriji Maharaj has given to perform the task of coming back as an avatar.' Brahmaswaroop Shastriji Maharaj had said: 'My duty will continue even after me. And Swaminarayan is the Supreme Lord, the incarnation of incarnations. This worship will prevail throughout the world.' Swamishri had groomed future captains for his great work: Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukhswami Maharaj and through them Sant Swami Maharaj.
The concept of satsang in the universe and its dimensions
Yogiji Maharaj made three divine resolutions, the first of which was to do satsang throughout the universe. 'What is Satsang?' In response to that question, he said: "Satsang has many meanings. But the secret and the real meaning is - the divine spirit in the Lord and the devotees is the only real Satsang. The point that no one should be harmed.” Yogiji Maharaj's foresight and skillful leadership in the following aspects of true satsang preaching through the wisdom of Aksharpurushottam are reflected:
Param Pujya Yogiji Maharaj
In the Lohana family in Dhari village of Amreli, on Vaishakh Vad Baras of Samvat 1948. Child Jinabhai was born on 23-5-1882. Father Devachandbhai and mother Puriba followed the strict Swaminarayan sect.
Swaminarayan Sadhus of Junagadi were often seen preaching Satsang. Dhari had Hari Mandir of Junagadh Taba. Krishnacharandas Swami was looking for a good Haribhakta for this work when Haribhakta Mohanbhai fell ill while serving and worshiping this temple. He noticed the fineness of regular temple attendance and devotion to service work. Jinabhai was entrusted with the responsibility of Seva Puja of this temple which he performed with great diligence and enthusiasm. Jinabhai felt a strong desire to become a monk. Krishnacharandas Swami, seeing Jeena's religious spirit and devotion to service, spoke to his elder brother Kamalshibhai about this, suggesting that he seek the family's permission. The family members agreed to become monks with a heavy heart.
Then Shri Krishnacharandas Swami initiated the Parshad and his name was given as Jina Bhagat.
Bhagavati Diksha was given to the eleven Parshadi Diksha of Junagadh temple on Chaitra Sud 13 of Samvat 1967, 1911 by Acharya Shri Patiprasadji in Vadtal. After receiving Bhagwati Deeksha, Jeena Bhagat was named Sadhu Gyanjivandas.
Sadhu Gyanjivandas (Pujya Yogiji Maharaj) was a young man full of spiritual activity in the Junagadh temple with such devotion that he became everyone's favorite. Pujya Shastriji Maharaj passed B.A.P.S. in 1907. In 1911, about four years after the establishment of the institution, Shastriji Maharaj's congregation was affiliated. B.A.P.S. This proved to be an unprecedented landmark historical event for the institution. Gondal, the samadhi place of Aksharabraham Gunatitananda Swami, which has become famous with Aksharderi, he was overjoyed to go there. Pujya Yogiji Maharaj made Gondaldham his karmabhoomi. By performing unceasing service-worship to Aksharderi of Gondaldham, they made it a sacred pilgrimage site fulfilling the auspicious resolutions of the devotees.
