Once Nachiketa asked a question to Yamaraja - 'Yeyan prete vichikitsa manshunedastityake naymasthiti chaike. Etadvidyamanushishtastvayahan varanamesha varastritiya: .. O Acharya Yamadev! A great deal of confusion prevails on the subject of the dead. Some people say that the soul remains immortal even after death, some say that it is destroyed. So, you should make a definite decision and say which of these two is true?' (Kathopanishad, 1/20) At that time, Yamaraja gave Nachiketa the mystical knowledge about it and made him practice yoga and showed him how the soul circulates in Yamaloka, Pretloka, Pitruloka, Devloka or other 84 lakh yonis after death.

British physicist Sir Oliver Lodge (1851-1940) made several discoveries related to physics. He made important research on wireless telegraphy, electromagnetic waves in circuits, and how the ether elements relate to matter. Along with science, he also used to research in the field of spirituality. They also accepted the existence of soul. He founded the Psychic Research Society and conducted experiments to uncover the mysteries of the mind and soul. He had considerable success in his experiments in communicating with ghosts. His son Raymond died in World War I. He also succeeded in contacting his soul. Through it he was able to obtain the unknown information of the supernatural world. The information he got from Raymond later proved to be absolutely correct. Sir Oliver Lodge wrote more than forty books on topics like immortality, ether, relativity, electromagnetic theory.

He was assisted by his contemporary, the famous British chemist Sir William Crookes (1832-1919), in his work on the connection between the paranormal world and spirits. He made fundamental contributions to the field of atomic physics with the discovery of 'thallium' and 'cathode rays'. Along with scientists like Sir Oliver Lodge, Sir William Crookes, British statesman, academician and author Sir Ernest Bennett also joined the research institute on ghosts. The Swedish scientist, philosopher and occultist Emanual Swedenborg (Emanual Swedenborg) also made important researches about the afterlife and also wrote books about it. He also succeeded in communicating with ghosts. Once the wife of the deceased ambassador of Holland went to seek his help in this matter. She contacted Swedenborg to find out where her husband had kept important documents. Swedenborg organized an apparition meeting in which he invoked the spirit of the deceased ambassador. He had shown the secret place where the documents were kept. Those documents were actually found there on investigation.

During his early career days in the army, Arthur Ford could predict which soldiers would be wounded and which would die during World War I. At that time he had contact with a ghost. The ghost would tell Arthur Ford the names of those soldiers while remaining invisible. In fact, that is what happened. As Ford had already said through the medium of the ghost, those soldiers were injured or dying.

English poet William Blake (William Blake) was also a mystic, mystical thinker. It is said that he spent the whole night talking privately with the ghosts of Michelangelo, Mozen and Cleopatra. Those dead souls used to come as apparitions and have long discussions with them on important topics.

Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi, politician, eminent writer and administrator of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai, also became a believer in occultism and ghost world due to some incidents in his life. I spent the summer in Arthur Road Prison.' What the ghost said proved to be absolutely true.
